Circumcise Me

A new comedy on the cutting edge. He's just your average Irish, Italian Catholic kid from Philly, Comic Actor, Sober
Alcoholic, Recovering Drug Addict, Husband, Father, Reform, Conservative, Unorthodox, Orthodox Jew. His name is
Yisrael Campbell, (the artist formerly known as Christopher), and this is his story - a spiritual journey stretching
across four decades, two continents, and three circumcisions. It’s that rare collision of comedy and theater that will
have women howling with laughter, men squirming in their seats, and everyone standing up to cheer. Poignant,
provocative, and powerfully witty, Circumcise Me is the true - and truly unforgettable - story of a man who was born to
be funny. The Jewish part came  later.

The Common Air

Alex Lyras' solo comedy-drama The Common Air links six distinct characters during the mother of all delays at JFK
Airport. The reason is unknown and a spiraling game of "telephone" ensues in an effort to uncover the truth.

Characters include an Iraqi Cab Driver with a winning Reality show idea, an Art Gallery Owner seduced by ancient
Greek cave art, a Corporate Attorney imparting rapid fire, ethically gray advice, a sample stealing DJ named PJ, a
sinister Philosophy Professor mixing logic and irrationality in a west Texas accent, and an Iraqi-American just
returned from civil war in Baghdad.

What happens when the cell phones die and laptops lose their charge? When we're forced to revert to non-high-
speed communication? Are we even capable anymore, or have our brains devolved into hard drives that crash at the
slightest wave of turbulence?

The Los Angeles production of The Common Air won praise for Lyras and co-writer/director Robert McCaskill.

"Tensile energy and unflagging skill in this well-crafted, must-see show." - Los Angeles Times

"An emotionally involving, finely detailed performance. A tour de force exhibit of verbal and physical dexterity." - Variety

"One of the finest solo performances of 2008." -  LA Stage Scene

Myq Kaplan: An Evening with Myq Kaplan

Myq Kaplan is a comedian named Myq Kaplan (pronounced “Mike Kaplan” when done correctly or however you like,
he’s not picky). The Comedians magazine calls him “a comedy machine, in the best possible way. The way that
some machines vend soda or prevent other machines from killing future revolutionaries – that’s how Myq Kaplan
does comedy: relentlessly, methodically, unblinkingly.”   Myq just made his debut on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’
Brien,” and his half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” special will appear in 2010 (a year for which Punchline
Magazine says to watch out for Myq). He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” at the New Faces
show of the 2009 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, was voted 2008’s Best Local Comedian in the Boston
Phoenix, and won the 2009 NY’s Funniest Standup Competition.   A Jewy-ish vegan atheist who spells the name
“Mike” weird, Myq enjoys words, social justice, Netflix, and comic books. Also non-comic books, ping-pong, and being
great with women. And grammar and run-on sentence fragments. And of course, being hilarious to his demographic,
which is anyone who might know the word “demographic.”

The Bleecker Street Opera: "The Barber of Seville"

The Bleecker Street Opera, founded by former members of the much-missed Bowery institution the Amato Opera,
follows up its critical and popular hit L’amore dei tre re (The Love of Three Kings) with this Rossini favorite.

Conductor David Rosenmeyer and Director Vincent Titone lead the brilliant cast and orchestra in this popular and
delightful opera, in which clever Figaro helps the Count Almaviva disguise himself in order to win the love of the
beautiful Rosina and rescue her from her awful guardian Dr. Bartolo.

The Bleecker Street Opera was praised in the New York Times by critic Steve Smith, who declared that "the Amato
legacy is in good hands."
